Marion, VA - Barbara Johnson McSparin was born September 19, 1942 to Julia "Judy" Kamrowski Johnson and Merlin "Punga" Clayton Johnson in Onalaska, Wisconsin. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Lewis McSparin, on May 15, 1962. Barbara met the love and joy of her life, the Lord Jesus Christ, in 1974 by a gift of God's grace. This radically revolutionized her life and made Him her chief delight and source of confident expectation in this life and the next. She went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 30, 2025, to the joy of many gone before her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert McSparin, and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her daughter Monique Jewell Stam, and husband Terry Glenn Stam and their 10 children; her brother Duane Johnson and his wife, Susie; a dear cousin Donna (Jim) Gregar who was like a sister to Barbara; her aunt, Shirley (Joseph) Kamrowski; her beloved ones do not end there but are extended to 14 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and many fellow believers and friends, as she was touched deeply by their joys and sorrows, often passionately bringing them before the throne of grace.
She will long be remembered for her love of creativity, brightening other's days with her unique sense of humor and eagerness to see God's world. She delighted herself in the Word and delighted to worship Him and serve Him daily.
