Diane Denise Lambirth
Diane Denise Lambirth, age 67, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on June 30, 2019 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Diane was born October 6, 1951, in Oskaloosa, Iowa at the Mahaska County Hospital, the daughter of Richard "Dick" and Betty "Darlene" Rose. Diane attended Twin Cedars High School and graduated with the Class of 1969.
Diane was united in marriage to Terry Lynn Lambirth on July 23, 1971 at the Attica Methodist Church. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage before her passing. They were blessed with three children, Julie, Alex, and Nathan.
Diane attended Ottumwa Heights and earned her degree in Medical Transcription. She was employed at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics for 32 years as a transcriptionist.
Diane enjoyed crafting, sewing, was an avid reader, active in 4H and had a love of language. She was a faithful member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Oskaloosa. Diane's greatest joy was her family. She will be deeply missed by them all.
Visitation for Diane was held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Oskaloosa at 10:00 A.M. A luncheon followed at the Church. Burial took place following the luncheon at the Gullion Cemetery in Attica.
Those left to cherish Diane's memory include her husband Terry Lambirth of Knoxville; daughter Julie Joann Lambirth of West Des Moines; sister Debbie (Doug) Phipps of Knoxville; brother Darl (Karen) Rose of rural Knoxville; mother-in-law Virginia Lambirth of Knoxville; also several nieces and nephews.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents Richard "Dick" and Betty "Darlene" Rose; two sons Alex Lambirth and Nathan Lambirth; also father-in-law Ralph Lambirth.
Memorials may be given in Diane's memory to the Bethel Baptist Church, 1407 A Ave. W., Oskaloosa, IA 52577 or the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr. Ste 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
