James Everett Kleven, age four years, and Natalie Agnes Kleven, age two years, passed away tragically on December 31, 2019, in Mishawaka, Indiana. James was born on July 16, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend and Natalie was born August 3, 2017, also at Memorial Hospital. They are the beloved children of Christopher Everett and Brooke Natalie Kleven and are survived by their younger brother Hendrik Sterling, all of whom live in Granger, Indiana.

James was an energetic four-year old. He was learning to play hockey on the backyard ice rink and with the Irish Youth Hockey League (IYHL). He also enjoyed soccer, swimming, tennis, skiing, and music. James was a joy around the house and tirelessly helped his parents with various projects. He aspired to be a hockey player and an astronaut.

Natalie was inspired by her brother's activities. She, too, enjoyed skating, swimming, skiing, and music. Brooke would tie her hair up with bows, which Natalie called "pretties". She enjoyed playing on the swing set in the backyard, and diligently caring for her dolls. Natalie was always up for a new experience or adventure, and was a faithful friend to her brother James.

Both children enjoyed books like "Dream of the Echoes: Featuring Theo and Eddie J: the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame!" or "James and the Giant Peach". They also worked on reciting Psalms, their favorite being Psalm 23. They loved bagpipes and were regular attendees at practices and performances of the Caledonia Kilty Pipe Band. They had a sharp eye to spot the glow of the golden dome and enjoyed watching Notre Dame play; James would help give Natalie push-ups. They will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30am CST on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. The funeral will use the Anglican Rite. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery on the campus of University of Notre Dame. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00-7:00pm CST on Friday, February 14 at the church. Additional visitation will be held from 8:30-9:30am on Saturday at the church prior to the service. Palmer Funeral Home--Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
