Ottumwa, IA - Jeanne Grim, 90, of Ottumwa, died at 10:45 p.m. November 10, 2025 at Serenity House Hospice in Oskaloosa.

She was born January 2, 1935 in Ottumwa to Charles Homer and Helene Josephine Fellows Miller. Jeanne married Donald W. "Tex" Grim on October 12, 1952 in the Methodist Church in Milton. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2011.

Jeanne was a 1952 graduate of Douds-Leando High School in Douds. She and her husband farmed southwest of Milton for 35 years. They moved to Ottumwa in 1987 where they managed Colonial Motor Inn for 10 years and managed Woodland Apartments for a year.

She had been a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Jeanne enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends. Jeanne had a special connection with nature, and she loved watching wildlife and birds, especially cardinals

Surviving are her children, Sheryl (Gary) Bishop of Moravia, Joyce (Dr. Stephen) Mineart of Oskaloosa and Stuart (Lisa) Grim of Ames; 5 grandchildren, Sara (Patrick) Long, Julie (Martin) Haverly, Mark (Jessica) Mineart, Elizabeth (Andrew) Nelson and Adam (Katie) Grim; 9 great- grandchildren, Kayden, Olivia, Lincoln, Grace, Alice, Lily, Josie, Cade and Emily; a brother, Paul Miller of Brighton, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Miller.

Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. Tuesday November 18th at Reece Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 18th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Hill officiating.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity House Hospice in Oskaloosa or Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, IA.
