Mooresville, NC - Kurt William Quade, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on June 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 30, 1952, in the Panama Canal Zone and raised in West Des Moines, Iowa, Kurt lived a life marked by dedication, love, and quiet strength.

A proud graduate of Valley High School in West Des Moines and Iowa State University in Ames, Kurt built a successful career rooted in integrity and leadership. He spent 12 years with Pella Windows before dedicating over three decades to Weinig, Inc., where he served as a respected sales leader until his retirement. He was a wonderful mentor to his colleagues and a steadfast protector of all who knew him.

Kurt was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Derwood & Dorothy Quade; his cherished daughter, Stacie Daughenbaugh; and his precious granddaughter, Charleston Knox.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Cathy Quade; loving daughters, Leslie Quade & Jennifer Quade Knox (Jason); treasured grandchildren: Emily Daughenbaugh, Joseph Daughenbaugh, Matthew Zimprich, Abigail Zimprich, Jackson Zimprich, Wyatt Knox, and Holden Knox; brother, Mark Quade (Kathy); Uncle Steve Quade (Laura Norton); Aunt Rita Quade; and many cherished cousins.

Kurt will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his quiet wisdom, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved and inspired.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 28, at McLarens Resthaven Chapel, Des Moines, IA. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
